Pink Handled Mugs - 6oz
These charming pink mugs are a playful addition to any home. The flux glaze drips in a dreamy pink gradient that makes these pots as enjoyable to look at as they are to drink from. They are smaller mugs (6 oz) and perfect for a cortado, affogato, or whatever suits your fancy.
Every mug is handmade by me in Portland, Oregon, using stoneware clay. I throw each pot on a potter’s wheel and add a foot and handle at the leather hard stage. Once the piece is bone dry, it is loaded into the kiln to be bisque fired, glazed by hand, and loaded back into the kiln for the final glaze firing.
This ceramic mug is food safe, dishwasher safe, and microwave safe. That said, the best way to care for your handmade ceramics is to hand wash them and avoid leaving acidic or otherwise staining food/drink on them for prolonged periods to reduce the possibility of staining.
All ceramics are sensitive to extreme temperature changes. Please avoid thermally shocking your piece by allowing gradual changes between hot and cold.
As a handmade piece, there will be variation between each pot - even those in a set. The glaze (especially the flux glazes) never fire exactly the same way twice. The individuality of each piece is part of what makes them special.
